Introducing
Ardence Technology
The
complete Ardence Platform contains simple wizard based tools
that make this process very simple and unlimited numbers of
desktop images can be stored on the Ardence server(s) giving
you the ability to provision a different desktop to PCs depending
on who or what team is using the PC.
Very
simple and utterly secure the Ardence Platform is the obvious
successor to thin-client terminals, providing all the performance
of a modern desktop PC with the ease of use and very low maintenance
of a windows based terminal.
The
Ardence server can be on the LAN or the WAN because only small
parts of the image are used as they are required. When the
user logs on only the part needed to present the Windows desktop
is loaded, then when an application is selected only the basic
components of the application are downloaded. This keeps the
LAN lightly loaded, typically no more that 7meg is used at
any one time while at the same time the user has the full
performance of the PC at the desktop.
The
Ardence solution eliminates:
The
need to install and maintain software,
including both applications and the operating system, on the
hard drives in desktops or even servers. If updates and patches
are required the IT team simply update the master image and
the next time any user logs on the updates and patches are
in place
Support
visits to desktop users,
in 99% of all cases a simple power off and on will fix the
problem
Virus
and Spyware infections,
because a fresh image is installed everytime a user logs on.
All user storage is remote on a server or NAS where robust
centralised AV software should be used.
User
installed applications or "freeware" tools and images, as
soon as the user logs off their modification are gone
This
dramatically simplified approach to centralised system management
is guaranteed to lower TCO and greatly improve data security
and system stability.
